Celebrate the start of a new social season with the Polly Pocket Bridgerton Compact from Mattel.
Created in 1983 by Chris Wiggs, Polly Pocket is a line of miniaturized dolls and accessories first launched by Bluebird in 1989 before being acquired by Mattel in 1998. The concept centred on small plastic compacts that opened to reveal detailed play environments populated by micro figures less than an inch tall. Over the decades, Polly Pocket has expanded into animated series, apparel, and licensed merchandise. A live-action film is also in development, with Mattel aiming to build on the success of Barbie directed by Greta Gerwig.
Developed in collaboration with Shondaland and Netflix, Mattel’s Polly Pocket Bridgerton Compact is inspired by the show. The exterior mirrors the façade of the Bridgerton family home, opening to reveal a multi-level interior filled with references to the series. Included are micro figures of Queen Charlotte, Benedict, Sophie, Penelope, and Colin, along with themed accessories such as the Queen’s dog, a horse and carriage, Lady Whistledown’s papers, and ballroom masks.
Each figure can be placed into various scenes within the compact, including the Queen’s throne room, the garden, a ballroom, the Modiste, and a hidden writing room for Lady Whistledown. The design emphasizes display and interactive storytelling within the compact format.
Designed for fans ages four and up, the Polly Pocket Bridgerton Compact features collectible packaging and arrives ahead of the show’s return on February 26. Priced at $54 USD, it is available for pre-order through the Mattel Creations website, with a broader retail roll out planned for spring. Shipping is expected to begin April 1, 2026.
