The MTV Stereo Camera from Polaroid Originals pays homage to the original analog, point-and-shoot Polaroid 600 camera and the ground-breaking music video television station of the 1980s. The limited-edition model features MTV’s original red, yellow, and blue colour palette and logo.
Weighing in at about 2 lbs., the camera retains the boxy feel of its predecessor and offers the same feature set, including an automatic flash (with override), fixed focus lens, and lighten/darken slider. A protective film shield and built-in neck strap round out the package.
Speaking of film, the MTV Stereo Camera takes Polaroid 600 instant film, which is available in colour and black & white versions, as well as a range of special editions. Instant prints measure 3.1-inches square with a familiar white border. It takes about three minutes between snapping a picture and seeing a fully developed photo.
The MTV Stereo Camera is priced at $149.99 USD and is available from a variety of online retailers or directly from the Polaroid Originals website.
