The PEZ Visitor Center is a family-friendly space that gives fans of the candy brand an inside look at PEZ manufacturing operations and history.
Founded in Austria in 1927, PEZ has evolved from a simple peppermint candy packaged in a tin container to become a pop-culture phenomenon that inspires artists and collectors.
PEZ established its Orange, Connecticut facility in 1973 in response to increasing consumer demand. The facility manufactures, packages, and distributes products for domestic markets. The 4,000-square-foot visitor center is home to the largest public collection of PEZ memorabilia, including promotional objects such as a PEZ-themed motorcycle created by Orange County Choppers and the world’s largest PEZ dispenser. Additional features include an interactive historical timeline and trivia-based activities that explore the brand’s development.
Visits are self-guided. Those curious about the production of the candy and dispensers can view activity within the packaging area from a dedicated observation space, while the visitor center also includes a retail component offering PEZ products and related merchandise. For those unable to visit in person, a virtual tour of the space is also available.
