Pacific Pinball Museum – Alameda, California

The Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda, California offers visitors the chance to learn about and play a collection of pinball games, from classic to contemporary.

Founded in 2004, the Pacific Pinball Museum showcases the private collection of Michael Schiess. The Museum serves as a way for Schiess to share his passion for the game and preserve the history of pinball. This is accomplished through permanent exhibits, special events, and educational programs. Schiess collection includes machines from as early as 1879. While many of his objects are on display at the Museum, the majority of his 800-game collection is housed at a secret off-site location.

With a mission “to inspire an interest in science, art and history through pinball, and to preserve and promote this important part of American culture”, the Museum has set a high bar for itself. It hits the target by appealing to enthusiasts, occasional players, and newbies alike.
