Goldin Launches New Collectibles Marketplace

Goldin Auctions launches its new Goldin Marketplace online platform for buyers and sellers of collectibles.

Known for its elite auctions of sports, pop culture, and historical memorabilia, Goldin is extending its expertise in high-end collectibles to provide an “always on” marketplace that promises something for every collector, including those with limited budgets.

With Goldin Marketplace, the company offers collectors something many existing peer-to-peer platforms cannot: peace of mind. The new platform includes authentication and grading services from PSA and Goldin’s secure Collectors Vault. These features assure buyers that collectibles acquired through the marketplace are genuine. Meanwhile, consigners can be confident that they will be paid promptly, as buyers on the platform are vetted in advance.

Ken Goldin, executive chairman and founder, shared exclusively with Toy Tales, “The expansion and evolution of Goldin has been matched by the growing interest in collectibles at both the elite and hobby levels.” He continued, “We launched Goldin Marketplace to offer collectors access to the best services all through one platform and ensure our customers feel secure throughout the buying and selling process. Trust is an integral part of collecting and as a leader, we’re making it a more enjoyable experience for everyone.”

In addition to the new marketplace, Goldin also announced it will host weekly auctions with items starting at just $5. This new strategy takes aim at the dominance eBay has enjoyed in the collectibles industry since its inception in 1995. Financial highlights released by eBay cite a revenue of $2.4 billion in the third quarter of 2022. Goldin intends to capture some of that business through its new initiatives.
