2026 is shaping up to be another banner year for Super Mario.
Alongside The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, arriving in theatres this April, Nintendo’s mustachioed icon is stepping into a new role as the face of the My Mario collection. After a successful debut in Japan last summer, the line is set to launch officially in the United States later this month.
Created with young children, parents, and caregivers in mind, My Mario spans a wide range of toys, experiences, and apparel developed in collaboration with partners including Mattel, Fisher-Price, and TOMY. Offerings range from the free Hello, Mario! app and its accompanying stop-motion animation series to an interactive Hello, Mario! board book published by Penguin Random House. Each product is designed to provide a playful first introduction to Mario and his friends from the Mushroom Kingdom.
The collection also includes a variety of specialty toys, such as infant-friendly plush, rattles, cozy blankets, and Tomy Toomies bath toys and water squirters inspired by classic Super Mario characters. The standout releases, however, are two wooden block sets designed to encourage imagination and open-ended storytelling.
The three-piece Mario Wood Block Set includes hardwood figures of Mario, a Super Mushroom, and a Question Block. The larger 30-piece Mario & Friends Wood Block Set expands the lineup with Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi, along with familiar accessories such as a Fire Flower and a Koopa Troopa Shell. Even the packaging is designed for play, doubling as a backdrop for imaginative scenes. As a bonus, character blocks from both sets can function as amiibo in compatible Nintendo Switch games, adding a digital layer to physical play.
Pricing has not yet been announced, but the My Mario collection will make its official U.S. debut at Nintendo New York and Nintendo San Francisco on February 19. Designed for toddlers and infants as young as 18 months, the line will roll out to select retailers nationwide this spring, with additional products planned throughout the year.
