Museum of Failure – Helsingborg, Sweden

The Museum of Failure in Helsingborg, Sweden, is a shrine to products that weren’t as well-received as hoped or expected; the duds, the fails, the disasters.

Samuel West opened the Museum as a way to showcase the high percentage of products that fail and products that companies try to forget ever existed: Coca-Cola Blak, Apple Pippin, Google Glass, Olestra, and No More Woof, to name a few.

The Museum’s collection of over 70 items is a combination of West’s personal collection and donated items. Public and private tours are available. The Museum also offers opportunities to see items from the collection at their pop-up events around the world.

Editor’s Note: After opening in Sweden, the museum traveled the world as a touring exhibition. The museum will soon get a permanent home in the perfect location near Malaga, Spain. See its website for updates on the permanent museum and future locations for the touring exhibition.
