The Museum of Original Figurines (Moof) in Brussels is a private collection representing characters from comics, video games, and pop culture.
Established in 2012 by collector, Eric Pierre, The Moof showcases the work of artists from the Ninth Art realm. Colourful displays of characters from Astrix and Obelix, The Smurfs, Tintin, and other comic properties all command attention. Darkly painted walls, custom lighting, and soundscapes augment the theatrical nature of the characters and stories in the exhibits.
Visitors learn about the art of character design and storytelling through the permanent collection, which rotates biannually. Along with traditional museum displays, visitors are encouraged to stop and watch cartoons on screens throughout the facility.
Self-guided and guided tours are available. The Museum is available to rent for private events.
