By the power of Grayskull, new Masters of the Universe figures are on the way!
First introduced by Mattel in 1982, Masters of the Universe began as a breakthrough action figure concept that fused sword-and-sorcery fantasy with science fiction spectacle. The brand’s central hero, He-Man, known as “The Most Powerful Man in the Universe,” and his arch-nemesis Skeletor quickly became pop culture fixtures. The franchise expanded into animated series, comic books, feature films, and a wide range of licensed merchandise, cultivating a multi-generational fan base.
Teased at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in January and later revealed exclusively by Entertainment Weekly, Masters of the Universe Chronicles is a collector-focused action figure line inspired by the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film, scheduled for theatrical release on June 5. Designed with screen accuracy in mind, the 1:12-scale figures emphasize detailed sculpting and character likenesses. Each figure features 30 points of articulation, multiple accessories, and premium packaging aimed at adult collectors.
The line launches on April 25 with an initial wave of eight figures: He-Man, Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, Teela, Evil-Lyn, Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw, and Battle Cat, the latter featuring removable armour. Standard figures carry an MSRP of $24.99 USD, while Battle Cat is priced at $39.99 USD. Additional releases are planned throughout 2026.
