Two new sound effect machines from UK-based consumer products company Paladone, let fans of the Marvel Comics and Star Wars Universes add soundtracks to their collections.
Each sound effect machine stands three inches tall and runs on two AAA batteries and is packaged and designed using the common branding and colour palette of its franchise. A row of buttons at the top of the box allows users to play one of eight officially licensed signature sound bites.
Fans of The Avengers can choose from adolescent Groot saying, “I am Groot,” Iron Man’s launch sound, Captain America’s shield toss, the sound of Thor’s hammer, Hulk’s smash, the Spider-Man web sound, Hawkeye’s arrow shot, or the darts from Falcon’s wings.
Star Wars fans can bring the Dark Side to life with the iconic sounds of a Lightsaber, Blaster, Tie Fighter, or one of five sounds associated with fan-favourite characters Chewbacca, Darth Vader, R2D2, Yoda, or C3PO.
The Marvel Sound Effect Machine is available from various online retailers at the cost of $18.99 USD. The Star Wars Sound Machine is slated for release in September 2021 at the cost of $21.99 USD.
