Airing on CBS for eight seasons between December 1980 and May 1988, Magnum, P.I. starred Tom Selleck as private investigator Thomas Magnum. Created by Glen A. Larson and set on the paradisaic island of Oahu, the show ran for a total of 162 episodes and earned both Selleck and co-star John Hillerman Emmy wins in 1984 and 1987, respectively.
