Fans of the iconic anime series, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and its Americanized adaption, Battle of the Planets, have a new model kit to add to their collection.
Japan-based Wave Corporation’s God Phoenix model showcases the principal aircraft used by the Science Ninja / G-Force Team. The injected plastic model is over 8.5-inches long and can be built in its landed or in-flight form. The God Phoenix also comes equipped with its standard G-Mecha 4-vehicles set, the G-1 fighter jet, G-2 race car, G-3 motorcycle, and G-4 miniature tank. Bird and Super Bird missiles can also be built and added to the arsenal.
The only thing the detailed model doesn’t provide is a version of the ship in Firebird mode, which would be quite a spectacle for the company to pull off!
The Gatchaman God Phoenix Model Kit is set to be released in July 2022 and is now available for pre-order from various online retailers. Adding the kit to your display shelf will set you back $99.99 USD.
