As Etch A Sketch celebrates 60 years of play, children’s entertainment company Spin Master pays homage to the drawing toy with a limited edition series for fans of all ages.
Released in 1960 by Ohio Art Company, Etch A Sketch captured the attention of children with its seemingly magic drawing board. Through the decades, the toy’s audience expanded from children to include creative adults and artists who use the toy to create original works and replicate classic masterpieces. Spin Master, who acquired the license in 2016, celebrates the toy’s milestone with a series of collectible models designed to appeal to enthusiasts of all ages. Included in the limited edition series are the Diamond Edition along with colourful Monopoly, Rubik’s Cube, Stan Lee, and NASA editions. There’s also a classic edition for purists. If the Spin Master website is any indication, the Etch A Sketch is still a hot seller. Get ’em while you can!
