Ever feel like you need to get away from it all? Somewhere quiet. Peaceful. A place equipped with a few calming crystals and maybe even a robot butler? Well, now you can — with the all-new DC Super Powers Fortress of Solitude Gold Label Playset from McFarlane Toys! It’s inspired by the new Superman movie.
Soaring into theatres on July 11th, Superman marks the first chapter of the revamped DC Universe from James Gunn and Peter Safran. Starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, this fresh take on the Last Son of Krypton brings back the hope and heart fans long for. With a powerhouse cast that includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, the film is packed with action, emotion, and timeless Superman optimism. And yes — there’s a brand-new Fortress of Solitude too.
That very same crystal-crusted refuge is the inspiration behind this nostalgic playset, which serves as the latest release in the fan-favourite DC Super Powers line. Recreated in 1:43 scale, this delightful diorama blends retro style with modern engineering and is showcased in vintage-inspired closed-box packaging. It’s a love letter to the original Kenner line from 1984, updated for today’s collectors.
Inside the box, you’ll find an icy backdrop, a central command console, a chair, twin Kryptonian terminals, and a pair of clear crystal set pieces. Also included is a 4-inch retro-styled action figure of Superman Robot #4, complete with classic articulation, and a cloth cape (exclusive to this release).
Available exclusively through the McFarlane Toy Store, the DC Super Powers Fortress of Solitude Gold Label Playset is fully compatible with both vintage and modern DC Super Powers action figures. Priced at $68.47 USD, it’s scheduled for release in July and certain to make a super addition to any DC Comics display!
