Kenner released its first carrying case for Star Wars mini-action figures in 1979. The vinyl case held 24 figures in two plastic trays that also doubled as display stands. The case was decorated with original artwork and remains a classic collectible for any Star Wars toy collector.
New York-based furniture design studio Regal Robot has produced a replica of Kenner’s mini-action-figure case as a stylish 38”w x 28”l x 18”h coffee table. The vintage case artwork is featured as a double-printed laminate top secured to a painted wood base with a pair of soft-close hydraulic hinges.
Inside the table is a flexible storage system including six removable dividers that can be used to create up to 12 storage compartment combinations. The table’s retro vibe is completed with steel hairpin legs.
The Classic Collector Case Storage Table retails for $999 USD and is made-to-order with a 10-12 week fabrication/delivery time.
