The Beaver Island Toy Museum & Store features an eclectic mix of vintage toys, antiques, and giftware to browse and buy.
Located off the northwestern point of Michigan, Beaver Island is a popular recreational destination for locals and tourists alike. The island is home to a variety of nature trails, restaurants, inns, a marina, as well as shops, such as the Beaver Island Toy Museum & Store.
Owned by long-time island resident and artist, Mary Rose Stewart, the shop offers floor-to-ceiling wonderment for people of all ages. Pre-World War II celluloid dolls are displayed alongside classic tin cars and children’s ride-on toys. Model aircraft hang from the ceiling and vintage miniature firetrucks adorn the walls. Toys with a nostalgic flair, such as kaleidoscopes and Power Prop Flying Gliders, are available for purchase as are several of the antiques that bedeck the interior of the building.
The property also boasts an outdoor playhouse and an art studio featuring work from local artists.
